The Tsagan Water Assessments

Assessment 1

        1) Sit stays. Dogs to be Assessed individually (1 Minute).

2) Ride in boat. (No engine).

3) Retrieve handler's article from water 6mts.

4) Retrieve article from handler in water 15 mts.

5) Retrieve article from handler in boat 15 mts.

Assessment 2

        1) Down stays. Dogs to be assessed individually (1 Minute).

2) Retrieve (Judges Choice)

3) Rescue handler 20 mts.

4) Tow boat 20 mts.  

Assessment 3

        1) Sit & Down stays. Dogs to be assessed individually (90 sec's each).

2) Drop retrieve from boat 25 mts.

3) Rescue handler with short line 25 mts.

4) Controlled swim 25 mts.

5) Rescue boat with short line 25mts.

Assessment 4

        1) Directional retrieve of 2 x objects from shore

2) Controlled swim with turns.

3) Rescue handler behind boat 25 mts.

4) Tow boat, stranger 25 mts.

Assessment 5

        1) Ride in boat with engine & turns. *

2) Directed retrieve 2 x objects dropped from boat. *

3) Dog jumps from boat, rescues handler. 

4) Dog in sit, handler board's boat calls dog tows boat back.*

 Assessment 6 

1) Temperament test

2) Directional rescue of quiet steward 25mts. *

3) Rescue handler with life ring 25mts.

4) Dog & handler saves stranger 25 mts.

5) Rescue drifting boat 25 mts.

Assessment 7

        1) Rescue stranger from behind boat.

          1a)  Return for drifting boat.

2) Dog and handler save 2 x Stewards.

3) Dog takes coil of rope to boat, tows back.

 Assessment 8

        1) Obedience Section.

2) Controlled swim  ( M ) Shape.

3) Dog and handler save 2 x strangers with life ring.

4) Dog jumps from boat collects coil of rope from shore & returns to boat, tows boat back.

5) Handler leaves boat, pick up stranger, calls dog from boat, tow to shore.
