New Develepments
At the committee meeting held on 18th
November, the committee discussed whether to pursue Kennel Club registration for the Association. It was agreed to do this but also to change the name of the Association and the boundaries of our covered area. This was a recommendation of the kennel Club when turning down our previous application. From 1
st April 2007 we are proposing that UKLA will become the South East & Anglia Leonberger Society. (SEALS). Currently, although we are a
national society, all activities take place in the South East and East Anglia regions and the majority of members are from these areas. Under the new boundaries we will be able to provide year round activities
within the area.Membership will, of course, be accepted from all areas and members outside the South East/East Anglian region will still be able to join and receive their regular newsletters and would still be
welcome at all the events. We will also still do our best to support anyone wanting to put events on in other areas. |
